The gallery is delighted to present Mélantropiques, Éric Roux Fontaine's first solo exhibition at the gallery. In this new series of paintings, the artist continues his exploration of a dense imagination, where dreams, memory and the realities of the world intertwine in a singular poetic tension.
The artist creates floating, timeless worlds in which the boundaries between reality and fiction become blurred. With his masterful pictorial approach, combining precision of detail and chromatic vibrancy, he invites us to enter a dreamlike universe where the complexity of our relationship with the living, the collective unconscious and the territories of the imaginary are re-enacted.
With Mélantropiques, Éric Roux Fontaine offers a powerful pictorial journey, in which each canvas becomes the stage for a suspended narrative, at once familiar and foreign, a mirror of a world adrift yet rich in possibilities.
